Client’s motorcycle was cut off when defendant’s car violated client’s right of way. Client suffered fractures of his arms and legs as well as neck and back injuries requiring epidural steroid injections. The defense hired multiple medical and engineering experts to dispute liability and causation. Through early service of split proposals for settlement, we were able to expose the defense to significant risk of a six figure fee and cost judgment once we deconstructed at deposition the defense engineer’s version of the crash. BTG was able to take a zero offer, denial of liability pre suitcase and build value to seven figures shortly before trial.
